Mettler Silk-Finish Cotton 28 is a high quality, decorative sewing thread with a precious gloss. Made from 100% long-staple Egyptian cotton, this thread is ideal for setting special highlights. Whether for top-stitching, hand quilting, or hand embroidery the thick and subtle shiny sewing thread gives decorative seams and stitches a particularly beautiful effect. 

This strong sewing thread also masters buttonholes and denim hems with ease. 

During production, the thread undergoes a mercerization process, which makes the thread more tearproof, low-shrink and iron-proof. Mettler's special dying technique also gives the thread the highest level of colourfastness.
