Mettler Silk-Finish Cotton 40 is made from 100% long-staple Egyptian cotton and is excellently suited for patchwork and quilting projects. Since this thread is somewhat thicker, you can achieve particularly beautiful decorative seams and impressive embroidery patterns with it. However, those patterns should not be too densely digitized. 

This versatile sewing thread can also be used for cross-stitch patterns, or as a looper when overlocking, in combination with Mettler SERACOR as the needle thread.  

During production, the thread undergoes a mercerization process, which makes the thread more tearproof, low-shrink and iron-proof. Mettler's special dying technique also gives the thread the highest level of colourfastness.

Care Instructions
