Prym dressmakers wax is provided within a practical round plate in a two-piece transparent plastic container which has three slotted openings on both sides to allow for easy application. Simply pull your chosen thread through the groove and it is coated with a fine layer of the wax.
Waxing your thread helps gain flexibility and stability allowing it to slide smoothly through material whilst not fraying or knotting.
The wax block can also be removed from its housing and used in other applications such as helping to release stuck zips.

Please be aware, waxed thread should only be used by hand and not for machine sewing as wax can build up within the machine causing damage and potentially voiding any warranty.
