What the manufacturer says;
The Embroidery Needle makes embroidery on the sewing machine child's play. The needle has a larger needle eye for thicker yarns, special effect or metallic embroidery yarns (with a round cross section). The medium ball points helps to avoid damage to the base fabric and embroidery design. The larger eye and wider thread groove makes it easier to feed in the thread, with low friction level, preventing thread breakage. 

Use the Embroidery Needle to sew decorative stitches with embroidery or effect threads, with household sewing machines or embroidery machines. 

Each needle features a red band to identify its type, and a coloured band to help identify the size. 

Please be aware, needles are sharp and can also present a choking risk. Do not leave within reach of children and always supervise any minor using a sewing machine. Handle this item with care.
