What the manufacturer says;
The Stretch Machine Needle is ideal for elastic or highly elastic knitted fabric. This includes swimwear, fine jersey, silk jersey, single jersey, velour cloth and cotton knitwear. 

The shank is flatter that on other needles with the same diameter, meaning the needle is closer to the hook. This special design helps to avoid skipped stitches. 

Each needle features a yellow band to identify its type, and a coloured band to help identify the size. 

Please be aware, needles are sharp and can also present a choking risk. Do not leave within reach of children and always supervise any minor using a sewing machine. Handle this item with care.
